volvo xc90 2012 The 2012 Volvo XC90 SUV range has been updated for Australia with new standard features, reduced prices and a streamlined line-up that does away with the V8 engine.The 2012 Volvo XC90 range has been halved from eight variants to four, and now includes the 3.2 R-Design, 3.2 Executive, D5 R-Design and D5 Executive. Prices of all four models have decreased by $4460 from the previous models.
Engine specifications are unchanged, meaning the 3.2-litre petrol models continue to produce 179kW and 320Nm, and the 2.4-litre D5 diesel models generate 147kW and 420Nm. Combined cycle fuel consumption is 11.5 litres/100km for the petrol and 8.8 litres/100km for the diesel.
The 4.4-litre V8, which produced 232kW of power and 440Nm of torque, has been dropped from the range.New standard equipment across the range includes satellite navigation (previously a $4175 option) and a rear view camera (previously $795).
Other standard features include power front seats, 12-speaker premium sound system with USB and Bluetooth audio streaming and phone connectivity, active bending lights and 19-inch alloy wheels, and plenty more.
R-Design models get the traditional sporty silver exterior enhancements as well as R-Design leather seats, trim inserts, steering wheel and gear knob.For an additional $1500, Executive models add heated seats with massage and ventilation and unique 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior trim is finished with walnut inlays, wood steering wheel and gear knob, Sovereign hide upholstery and plush carpets.
