2012 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 set an amazing time at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The sports car stopped the clock at 7:19.63 which is more than six seconds faster than the predecessor, that was set back in 2008.

2012 Corvette ZR1 is powered by an enormous 6.2 liter supercharged V8 with 647PS (476 kW) and 818Nm (604 lb-ft) of torque.

“Testing at the Nurburgring is one of the important methods we have to validate our car in the toughest track conditions.” says Tadge Juechter, Corvette vehicle line director and chief engineer.

The time is set by ZR1 equipped with the new PDE performance package consisting of a full-width rear spoiler and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure tires.

When combined with the Corvette’s exclusive Performance Traction Management (PTM) technology -- which manages torque delivery for maximum performance -- the tires set new benchmarks for Corvette performance. Engineers estimate an 8% gain in maximum lateral acceleration, to more than 1.1g, and improved braking distance.

The Chevrolet Corvette is nice looking car. It is available in both Coupe and Cabriolet models. It is a very slim and smart vehicle. It has longer bonnet with eye shaped headlights on its corners. The lines on the bonnet give the bonnet a splendid look. There are fog lights at the bottom. The side moldings are eye catchers because they give the car a sporty and an aggressive look. The side door handles and side view mirrors are the same color as that of the car. The car has silver painted Alloy Wheels. The front wheels are 18 inch and rear wheels are 19 inch.
The interior of the Corvette has been improvised from its earlier version. The front seats were very uncomfortable before but now they have been improved and because of that they are better than before. The seats are covered with leather. The gauges are easily readable and have shiny blue color around it which looks remarkable especially at night.

The cargo capacity is remarkable with enough space to keep a lot of luggage inside. The cabin has two color tones. The lower portion is covered with leather that has been used on the seats too. The Corvette does not have a very classy interior but it is going to be liked by some and hated by the rest of the people.
